  1. PayPal: Musk co-founded X.com, an online payment company, in 1999. X.com later merged with Confinity and became PayPal, which revolutionized online payments and was eventually acquired by eBay.
  2. Tesla, Inc.: Musk is perhaps most famous for being the CEO and lead product architect of Tesla, Inc., an electric car and renewable energy company. Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
